That's great that you do a lot of writing. I think Christians should reject evolution and uniformitarian (millions of years) geology. I also think that the Bible should be defended presuppositionally and not evidentially. I've written some articles on my xanga about those topics if you're interested. Or if you have any questions just leave a comment on my blog. Seeya!

Hi. That's a nice blog, you have. I've been reading something on blog marketing recently and I never expected someone to use them in xanga. Maybe I'm wrong now....haha. The book must have been interesting. I'll recommend it to the universities' librarian.

Thank you for stopping by my site, I'm just curious what drew you to my site, and in particular, the article I posted on the history of Magick? While I do appreciate your invitation to read your book, I'm not sure if I'll really get the chance. I have several books I'm in the process of reading now, mostly Pagan in nature. I'm really not remotely interested in reading on Christian views/beliefs as they are not my own, but I do respect that it is a path that brings peace and enlightenment to many. May your path bring you the same. Thanks again. Have a blessed day.

Why would you even bother...?  Christians will never look at all the science regarding an issue, Christians will NEVER look for -contradicting- evidence.  Scientists are forced to change their hypothesis and ideas time and time again as new evidence surfaces.  Scientists approach problems in search of solutions.

A Christian, however, already thinks they have a solution.  When was the last time a Christian changed their mind about something in the Bible?  Oh, never.  Christians already have a pre-determined idea that fits in with their belief system, THEN they try to find evidence that supports/justifies this.  Sorry, that's not valid scientific reasoning, ever.

Well, that book might work if you used, you know, the scientific method.

Some issues with what I have read so far...

First of all, the supernatural events you speak of are indeed bogus. For one thing, how could a material being such as a human, possibly experience, that is to say, see, hear, touch..etc, a supernatural entitity? We hear soundwaves, which are physical, we pick up light, that is how we see, do ghosts and other supernatural entities emit physical light and sound? If they do, then they are not physical entities. The same goes for all of our senses. If we can see it, or hear it, or experience it then it absolutely positively must be a physical and material entity, which logically in itself negates the possibility of it being a supernatural being. Science has indeed looked at paranormal cases, and found them all to be completely WITHOUT FOUNDATION. Check out www.randi.org, he debunks the paranormal claims of this world on a daily basis.

Secondly, concious is actually somewhat well understood, it is purely physical, and your applying words such as "spirit" or "soul" to describe it are fallacious if they are to be taken literally. Everything we think in our minds - is material, and it comes from our brain, when our brain dies, we die, because we are our brain. We do not appear anywhere else, such as heaven or hell, because our brains store us, they are us, and we cannot possibly appear anywhere without them.

Also, ditto to what An_Atheist_View said.

I think it's great that someone would actually try writing such a book.  I've tried in the past, but I've decided to conduct a little more research before committing my beliefs and observations to print.  If you don't mind, I'd like to offer my humble advice.  First, cite your sources, especially for the science stuff.  That gives you a little more credibility and proves to nonbelievers that you're willing to seriously entertain the ideas upon which their beliefs are founded.  Secondly, the cosmilogical and teleological arguments for God's existence have been around for centuries, and they've failed to pursuade many atheists.  Though Christians find comfort in them, they need a radical revision.  This leads me to my final piece of advice.  Listen to the criticim of nonbelievers.  Find out why they don't believe.  It's not because science doesn't support Christianity.  In fact, atheism requires just as much faith as Christianity.  Science is a great tool, but "facts" are actually more unreliable than belief in the supernatural.  Scientists constantly revise their beliefs about the world as they learn more about it.  Atheists must have faith that these revisions won't allow for the existence of a benevolent Supreme Being.  The extra-biblical examples concerning society, history, and such were enlightening.  They add a new dimension to the older arguments, and they're things everyone can relate to.

I must say, I didn't agree with the aliens section of this book.  I don't believe that aliens seeded Earth, but I like to think that they might exist.  Surely God could have created them just as He did us.  Also, wouldn't it be cool if aliens believed in Jehova as well.  Perhaps they'll visit Earth one day in order to spread the Word.  However, they could have other religions and this wouldn't mean that Christianity is wrong.  After all, there are a multitude of religions on Earth.  If aliens exist, there might be extraterrestrial Buddhists, Muslims, and atheists in addition to Christians.

Thanks for inviting me to read this book.  I look forward to reading more of your material.

Atheist does not require faith, it requires inductive reasoning, the same way you lack belief in a real life easter bunny, we lack belief in your God.

thanks for the invitation, but as i was reading through the introduction, i saw that your book is supposed to be aimed at people who do not believe in religion.  i am a devout Christian, and will probably agree with much of what you write (though this may change, i haven't started reading it yet).  despite this, i will still read the book (when i have time, i'm a busy college student) and comment as well.  thank you again!

For Streetcorner Philosopher:

I don't care much about aliens. However, I feel that Jesus and Christianity are insulted when I hear somebody says that Jesus is an alien visitor from another advanced planet.
